Riding at the London Bikeathon
We want you to enjoy the bike ride as much as possible so please read through the following points so that you are prepared.
Cycle at a steady pace, if you are with a team please ensure that everyone can keep up. Remember - the London Bikeathon is a ride not a race.

Check the weather forecast the day before the event! Depending on the weather, ensure you carry the necessary supplies such as raincoats or sun cream. Make sure that you apply sun cream to yourself and any children that you are responsible for on the day before setting off.

Please carry a mobile phone which you can use to call our help desk if you require any assistance throughout the ride.

There will be refreshment stations situated approximately every six miles throughout the course but it is advisable to carry extra supplies to keep yourself re-hydrated.

Eat plenty of energy food prior to the event and carry some extra supplies with you especially if you are participating in a longer ride.

Don't forget to bring your route guide. If you get lost throughout the day, the route guide should help you get back on track!
Please remember to take care whilst taking part in the London Bikeathon and you can always ask our road marshals for any help throughout the day. They are there to help!
